So
you've been looking for a diet
to burn belly fat
... and let me guess ... you've seen dozens of opinions, each with
their own twist on what works. All their fat burning tips seem to
contradict each other and it's all a bit confusing. I'm pretty close,
right? Yep, that's because I've been there myself and I've seen the
same thing... it drove me nuts!
After spending years studying
all the weight loss advice, books, videos, and opinions of others ... I
decided to boil them all down to what's really the best way to lose
belly fat. It's actually pretty simple and easy when you get down to it.
Here's what
you need to do:
Ok,
so first off, you gotta realize that in order to burn belly fat fast
... it comes down to creating a consistent calorie deficit in the most
sustainable way possible for you. But let me make this clear ... I'm
not big on counting calories, and I don't really advise anyone else to
do it either unless there are very specific reasons why (competitions,
medical reasons, etc ... rare occasions basically).
What I
always recommend is finding a way to either eat fewer calories or burn
off more calories to melt that fat away. And hey, if you're like me,
you want to do it the easiest way ... and eating a little bit less is a
lot easier than working out longer or harder. I may get a lot
of
flack for that from the "experts" who are all about making people
sweat, cry, and collapse on a daily basis just to burn a few extra
calories that would have been easier to not eat in the first place.
I
always say that your diet is more important than your workouts ... so
following a good, easy to follow eating plan to lose belly fat will get
you better results than just trying to workout hard everyday while
still eating poor meals. That doesn't mean that exercise isn't
important ... it's just that when you focus on what to eat to burn
belly fat, it's becomes MORE important than exercise. Like they say,
you can't out-work a poor diet.
Here's
the simple diet to burn belly fat that I recommend:
Focus all
your meals on "REAL" foods. What I mean by that is natural, "1
ingredient" whole
foods
that don't require processing to make them edible or taste good. That
means try to eat mostly these kinds of foods to help burn belly fat:
meats, vegetables, fruits, nuts, good fats, water, spices, etc.
Basically, the foods with energizing colors and flavors ... not bland,
beige, white, or artificially flavored "foods" that come in brightly
colored packages with heavy ad budgets.
Not only do natural
"REAL" foods look and taste better, but they will actually make your
body automatically help you eat less by reducing hunger and give you
long lasting energy. Once your body gets used to "REAL" food, you'll
start to lose all those nasty cravings and food obsessions, and you'll
burn belly fat fast like you've probably never seen before.
Maybe that sounds a bit generic, but the simpler you keep it,
the easier it will be to stick with. Focus on eating "REAL" foods and
try to become more active with exercise & walking around more.
Here's
a simple meal to burn belly fat that I had for supper last night:
I
had some beef steak with sliced mushrooms, purple onion, and squash. I
tossed them on my grill outside and topped them with some cilantro,
lime juice, salt, pepper, and butter (yes, real butter is a good fat).
It tasted awesome, and I was completely satisfied but not stuffed, and
I didn't crave anything at all later. This is the exact kind of meal to
burn belly fat that I eat each day to curb cravings, feel energized,
and get leaner.
